Mashal Arman lending her voice to a Ptolem track!
As you know, we are first of all an instrumental band, but, hey, what if we could add voices to one of our tracks? That's what we decided to try with Mashal.
Mashal Arman was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. As a singer, she is both at ease in traditional Afghan music and in the Western lyrical repertoire. She has been performing with the Kabul Ensemble since 2005, championing Afghan traditional sounds worldwide. She has a deep, emotive voice which adds a poignant vibrancy to our new track "Epochs drifting". So: thanks, Mashal!

A solo by Sam Albert
We are very happy to have guitarist Sam Albert play on one of our new tracks, "Colour Filter". He added a great, spacey solo, really enhancing this dream-like track - thanks a lot, Sam!
Sam, one of our friends since high school, is a pillar of the Geneva music scene: he played with Ilkhah and Isa Rose, recorded with Nostromo, and is now a member of Helmut (http://www.helmutband.com/), whose first album, "12", was out last year on Putos records. Helmut are currently working on their second album, so check them out!
